SPL Family,

Thank you for responding with grace and hope to the changing events around us. We have appreciated the many calls letting us know that you’re available to help anyone in isolation.

Here’s the plan moving forward: We’ll share a video message at 8:00 am each Sunday morning (viewable anytime), along with a set of worship songs and discussion questions.

With increasing calls for greater social distancing measures, all mid-week activities at the church are paused. Church staff will be working remotely, checking phone messages daily and available by email, or through the contact form on our website.

If you are in need of extra support (seniors, medically vulnerable, anyone in self-isolation), please let us know using the check-in form on our website. Someone in your area will be in touch shortly.

In these challenging times, we at SPL are working on ways to mobilize and to develop a network of care in our communities. While there is a need for social distancing, we invite you to creatively stay connected and to be a people of prayer.
Please watch the short video below, as Andrew Allison and Lynnita Weber give an update.

Grace and peace,

The SPL Staff

Psalm 131 - The Psalms of Ascent have it all: anguish, anger, encouragement, and wild joy. Psalm 131 is all about contentment. Where does contentment come from? What ruins it? What does it feel like? How can I be content in an age where marketing, social media and mirrors breed discontent?

Psalm 133 - The Psalms of Ascent were songs for the journey—worshippers sang them as they travelled together toward Jerusalem and the Temple. These Psalms give voice to the sorts of things that go through worshippers' hearts as they prepare to worship.

Psalm 104 is a song of praise that marvels at the beauty and order of God’s creation. From mountains to seas, seasons to creatures great and small, it reveals a world sustained by His power and care. This psalm invites us to stand in awe, give thanks, and consider our role as stewards of His handiwork.

Psalm 121 - We humans need help! The question is, where will we turn for it? Psalm 121 invites us to look to God for true help.
