Questions

Luke 3:21-22

  1. Where or how in our culture do you see examples of people trying to earn belonging, love, or approval?
  2. Who in your life has spoken good words of affirmation and love to you? How have their words impacted you?
  3. The enemy’s lies usually are some version of “you don’t belong; you are unlovable; you’re a disappointment.” How have you encountered one of those lies in your life?
  4. How easy is it for you to believe that, because we are “in” Christ, what is true for Jesus is true for you?
  5. Which part of the Father’s blessing (“you are my child; I love you; I’m proud of you”) do you most need to absorb right now? Is there a next step for you in that?
