Chapter 8: Judges 21:15-25

  1. Do the gruesome task of familiarizing yourselves with the full story of ch.19-21. What stands out to you?
  2. How do you explain the presence of evil on Earth?
  3. How does the Bible account for the existence of evil in a world created and sustained by God?
  4. Unpack the phrase, “In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit.” What is the impact of not having a king, and how does it affect a society where everyone does what seems right in their own eyes?
  5. Does the term "orphan spirit" resonate with you? Why or why not?
  6. How does someone come to believe that their Heavenly Father truly loves them? What has helped you personally?
