Slingshot | Go

David had a clear shot at making his life a whole lot easier. The problem was that his easier life would have cost King Saul his life. Just about everyone was okay with that trade-off except Saul, obviously, and, remarkably, David. David saw something in Saul that no one else saw, and so he put his own life at great inconvenience and risk. Jesus did the same. He calls us to do that too! He calls us to “Go!” which always means inconvenience, and sometimes it means someone else finds Life.

Questions:

Accountability week! Some questions as we wrap up Gather, Grow, Give and Go!

  1. How are you doing at prioritizing Sunday morning worship? Why is gathered worship so important?
  2. How are you doing at meeting with your small group? What can trip you up with that commitment? What is your strategy for making that a top commitment each week?
  3. How are you doing at giving? Describe what it has looked like this week for you to give time, talent and treasure to God’s Kingdom instead of yours.
  4. Where is the ‘Go’ in your life this week? Where are you inconveniencing yourself so that another person might find and follow Jesus?
  5. Pray for each other. Pray that we not be hearers of the Word only, but doers too!
