Slingshot | Give
David had at least 2 colossal fails in his life. This story is the aftermath of his second failure. The short story is that God called David to make a sacrifice, and David, wisely, decided he wouldn’t cheap out; he’d pay full price. God accepted David’s sacrifice and ended the plague. Better still, God used the site of David’s sacrifice as the place where heaven would come to earth, where the Temple was built. Amazing what God does with our obedience.

- How was money used in the house you grew up in? What patterns did your parents have? How was it spent? How was it saved? What mattered most when it came to money?
- Why did it matter to David that his sacrifice was costly?
- If you were to name your ‘king’ solely on the way you spend your time and your money, who or what is king in your life right now?
- What do you think Jesus meant when he said: “Store up treasures in heaven?”
- What first step can you take with your money this week that would say, “Jesus is my King!"
