Slingshot | Gather
This Sunday, we begin a 4-week series on the Vision of St. Paul’s. Using the life of David, we’re going to look at 4 essential practices that Christians have devoted themselves to for 2000 years. Gather, Grow, Give and Go. These practices are what Jesus has always called his church to do, and we are no exception. Today we look at the essential practice of gathering.

Questions:
- What was the best concert, sports event, or mass gathering of people that you’ve ever been part of? What made it so good?
- What makes the David and Goliath story so good? Walk through the details of that great victory.
- What are the similarities, and what are the differences between that story and the story of Jesus going to the cross?
- What are the excuses you use when you don’t want to gather for Sunday morning worship or for small group? Do those seem reasonable to you as you say them out loud?
- How can your small group participation and your Sunday morning involvement best celebrate the battle Jesus won for you?
