IN THIS LIFE AND THE NEXT

Sometimes life feels like it’s falling apart. What do you do when you’re in that place? The disciples were there and Jesus watched as their pupils dilated and their palms began to moisten. He began: “No matter what, remember these things…”. It’s good to have a plan when the world is falling apart. It’s good to have a plan  before  the world starts to fall apart. John 14:1-14

  1. When was the last time you were in trouble? How did you respond? Panic? Paralysis? Perfectly calm? Tell the story.
  2. The disciples were troubled, what had them on edge?
  3. Is there anything that Jesus said to them that you find reassuring right now?
  4. What precisely did Jesus mean when he said he is “The Way, the Truth, and the Life?” What does that mean for our life together?
  5. The church is called to two jobs: to ‘do even greater things than Jesus did’ and to ‘ask in my name so the Father will be glorified’.  How is your small group living into these two assignments?
