Practicing The Way | True Family

Mark 3:31-35

  1. As you reflect on your life and relationships, who has been or could be a soul friend to you on this spiritual formation journey?
  2. Which of ‘depth, vulnerability or commitment to transform’ is most challenging for you? What could be a next step for you?
  3. Jesus’ words must have stung for Mary and his brothers. Eventually, they followed him, but in the moment, they might have been offended. Who, close to you, could be offended if you pour yourself into Jesus and his Community? How will you navigate that?
  4. What needs to change in you for SPL to become more of a family to you than it currently is?
  5. What has Jesus done in your life over the last 8 sessions, during our time together?

Colossians 2:1-7-The way forward for the first Christians wasn't always easy. False teachers brought confusion and deception, prompting Paul to point believers back to the truth. Just as the best way to spot a counterfeit is to know the genuine article, the best way to recognize false teaching is to know Jesus.

Colossians 1:24-29-Suffering is one of life's hardest realities. We might expect that following Jesus would mean less pain, but Jesus himself suffered and made it clear that his followers would too. The good news is that our suffering is never lost on God and is never in vain.
