Generous: Living Open-Handed | What Does Jesus Say About Money?

For three weeks, we’re going to explore what Jesus has to say about money. This week, we’re overhearing a conversation that a late-in-life Paul had with one of his churches. His last message to them was about money. He reminded them of the power of contentment, hard work and sharing with the weak.

Questions:

  1. Was there a time in your life when money was in short supply? If so, what was that like?
  2. What principles and practices around money did you learn from your family?
  3. Is it easy or hard for you to be content? Why is that the case?
  4. What has it looked like for you to share with the weak?
  5. What’s the most important piece of financial advice you’d like to share with your group?
  6. Pray together about the “give away challenge”. Ask God to open your eyes and your heart this week.
