Teach Us To Pray: Give Us This Day…

Andrew Allison Listen

Sermon Questions Luke 11:1-13

  1. Explain what praying “give us today our daily bread” includes. Does the ‘us’ add to your prayers?
  2. What is the effect of praying for our immediate needs AFTER we prayed about how awesome our Lord is and our full surrender to His Kingdom and Will?
  3. Unpack v.5-8, the story of the midnight caller. What does that tell you about God?
  4. Clarify v. 9-10. Is Jesus saying you always get what you ask for? If not, what is He saying?
  5. What’s your takeaway from v.11-13? Do you believe/experience God as the Father who gives good gifts? Why or why not?
