Roots | How Salvation Works - Why Does God Take So Long?
The story of God’s rescue is not without drama! God’s people left Egypt only to come against a new opponent, the Red Sea! They were trapped between an angry Pharaoh and, at least as bad, an angry Sea. They cried out, expressed their terror, and God made a way. Of course, it did involve them moving their feet! Participation is always required when God rescues.

Questions:
- Is there a story from your life when you felt trapped and, as you look back now, God rescued you? Tell that story.
- “Satan wants you to feel trapped”. Is that something you experience regularly or from time to time? What issues can leave you feeling trapped?
- “There’s always a way out”. God’s rescue of us usually requires honesty, faith and courage. Remind each other of other stories in the Bible where these truths (and others) were part of a rescue story.
- “The Lord will fight for you.” In what ways do you understand Jesus has fought for you?
- Is someone in your group up against a ‘Red Sea’? Pray for each other.
