Church 101 | Quarrels

The church at Corinth gives us a glimpse into how the Kingdom landed and found shape in a rather typical First Century Roman city. 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

Message Questions:

  1. Have you ever been part of a church fight? What was it about? What went well in that conflict and what went poorly?
  2. The disciples argued (at least once) about who was the greatest. Why do we do that? What basic need or instinct is that sin trying to address?
  3. The name of the Lord Jesus is supposed to bring clarity to Christians in disagreement. Explain why that name should have conflict-resolving power.
  4. The cross of Jesus makes at least two bold statements. Identify each statement and unpack why they could be game-changers in a time of conflict.
