Prayer Wednesday

“He makes springs pour water into the ravines;
    It flows between the mountains.
They give water to all the beasts of the field;
    The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

The birds of the sky nest by the waters;
They sing among the branches.”

The Bible often invites us to ‘open our eyes’ and look at what is around us. See the order. See the beauty. See the balance of what our God has made. Sometimes just watching nature is a reminder of the greatness of our God.

Consider walking and praying today. Watch for birds, for streams, and for squirrels gathering nuts. Thank God for the place that each of them has in His Creation.

Thank our LORD for your place in Creation, too. There is no one just like you. He’s so brilliant, He didn’t have to make duplicates. Maybe you’re wondering about ‘your place’. You can pray about that, too. He will show you.

You can be sure that the One who made the oak trees一knowing there would be furry forest rodents called ’squirrels’一the One who made the ocean一knowing there would creatures called ‘dolphins’一is the same One who made planet earth一 knowing there would be a creature, who is you, whom He has always loved.

 Finding my place and praying with you.
