Prayer Wednesday

“In the morning LORD, you hear my voice;
In the morning I lay my requests before you and
Wait expectantly.”

I read today that the 7 best times to pray are:

  1. In the morning
  2. Before making important decisions
  3. When very busy
  4. When concerned about others
  5. When tempted
  6. When in pain
  7. At the moment of death

Not sure where you land on this list today, but this is the Christian’s crazy hope: He hears! The world may laugh at your praying, but He promises to listen. So pray boldly.

William Temple once said to his critics who said his ‘answers to prayer’ were just coincidences, “Well, when I pray coincidences happen; when I don’t pray, they don’t happen.”

But let all who take refuge in You be glad;
Spread your protection over them,
That those who love your name may rejoice in You.

Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous
You surround them with your favour
As with a shield.

Praying with you this day!

Andrew

P.S. Add Sue Carmichael to your prayers this day as it looks like she’s in the last weeks of this life. Our prayer is for the full kindness of Jesus for both her and Phil. (Psalm 116:15)
