Sermon Questions: Psalm 46
- Have you ever had the experience of having a ‘mountain’ in your life ‘fall into the heart of the sea’? How did you navigate that?
- “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God”. Cross reference this verse with Ezekiel 47. Do you think the two are the same river? If so or if not, explain how you understand the river. (If you’re super keen check out Rev. 22).
- What thoughts go through your mind when you read “He makes wars cease”? What would that world be like?
- “Be still and know that I am God” . What does stillness look like in your life these days? Is there a way you’d like to see that increase?
- “The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress” . The psalmist saw fit to repeat this twice (in some translations it appears three times just before v. 4. See The Message for example). What in that refrain settles your soul these days?

Ordinary women and men were now filled with the Spirit of Jesus to continue on the ministry Jesus started.
