Remember the toiletry items that we collected in February for the Uxbridge Loaves & Fishes Food Bank? Well, the volunteers at the food bank would like to thank everyone for their generous donations and add that "Your assistance and support certainly helps us meet our mission goals. Thank you again for your caring and thoughfulness."
Download your Short Term Mission Form here for submission to the Missionary Partners Committee.

Part of the work and worship at St. Paul's Leaskdale is to respond to real and urgent needs that people in our community have. Sometimes that involves providing some necessities of life. You are invited to be part of this ministry by making a financial contribution in the special envelopes marked 'Benevolent Fund' that can be found on the foyer Harvest Table. The money will be used to help people as determined by our pastoral team.
is a group that meets here at the church every Monday night from 8-9pm. Serenity is for anyone who has identified behavior in their lives that negatively affects their physical, mental or spiritual well-being. Serenity porvides a safe, loving environment where everyone is welcome to share their burden. See the information card on the foyer harvest table at the church for more details.
Stephen Ministry is a confidential care program here at St. Paul's. It pairs a trained Stephen Minister (caregiver) with you to walk alongside you in some of the struggles of everyday life. Issues such as death of a loved one, divorce, illness, loneliness, unemployment and more. A Stephen Minister meets one hour a week with someone to listen, care and encourage. If you or someone you know need a Stephen Minister be courageous and ask for help. We're here for you. Contact Karen Rennie (krennie@ruralwave.ca) or the pastor (andrew@sainptauls.ca).

We are trying to finish bar-coding all the books in the library. We would like to have all over due books back in the next few weeks. You may sign your book out again on the new system! Please return any Terry Wardle books as there is a waiting list for these. During the summer, the library will only be open between services. New volunteers are always welcome!
Please remember to save your Zehrs grocery tapes/receipts, the proceeds for which go to the St. Paul's 'Kids to Camp' fund through the WA. It would be very helpful if the tapes could be left flat and then bundled with the total $$ amount indicated on the front. There's a drop-off box in the church library. Thanks!
that for those folks who do not have 'numbered' St. Paul's offering envelope, we have 'visitor' offering envelopes available for general use. These envelopes can be found on the harvest table in the church foyer. For those wishing to obtain your own 'numbered' offering envelopes please complete a "Let's Get Acquainted" card (also found on the harvest table) and leave it at the reception desk in the church office.
Stewardship is not just a question of chequebooks, but a question of how a person lives day by day. We're all stewards of God's bounty, including love and consideration, helpfulness and even courtesy. Stewardship embraces a sort of volunteer attitude. It is a natural characteristic of Christians, but it takes practice and awareness...
The Region of Durham has revised the garbage pick up schedule. That makes our job of recycling and composting at St. Paul's even more important. Look for SMALLER garbage cans and LARGER recycling and composting bins in all areas with signage to explain what goes where!
Remember all food items in the compost! Little acts of conservation add up to a better world. You are helping here at St. Paul's, too. Did you know that most weeks we keep our garbage down to three bags just like a normal household?
Here are a few tips to help keep our church even greener:
Each classroom is equipped with blue bin, green bin and regular garbage.
Blue Bin Recycling
- throw in all plastic, glass and paper
- do NOT throw in tissues, paper plates, foam drinking cups, candy wrappers
Green Bin Compost
- throw in food waste, tissues, paper towels, paper plates and cups
- do NOT throw in foam drinking cups, paper
Did you also know that almost all our washroom garbage is compostable? If we work harder to only throw tissues and paper towels in these receptacles we could use compost bags and save on future garbage disposal costs.
Thanks St. Paul's for doing your part!
The thought may have crossed your mind! Or maybe it just did for the first time, nothing like the power of suggestion!
If you are considering membership here at St. Paul's then please do the following:
By the way, we love this time of year as many of you begin to ask the bigger questions of what God is calling you into here at St. Paul's. This is most definitely NOT like joining a club. It is joining what GOD is doing in and through this particular group of people here at St. Paul's. Becoming a member is saying "I love Jesus and want to join in on what He is doing with the rest of you." Is your time now? We hope so!
Our Leading with Care mission statement, ‘Creating an Environment of Compassion & Care for children, youth & vulnerable adults at St.Paul's' involves each of us as we love and serve the people through ministry and events here at St. Paul's Leaskdale. As we continue to develop care and safety practices we are moving ahead with new initiatives:
First Aid/CPR Certification Posting
It would be helpful for us to know if you are First Aid/CPR certified so your name can be posted near our first aid stations to assist in an emergency. Contact Helen Snell.
Life Threatening Allergy Alert!!
Please join us in our efforts to make St. Paul's a safe place for all. Watch for information notices around the building about peanut and nut product allergies.
One of the ways God shows His love is by protecting people who are vulnerable. He has a thing about that. He longs for people to be protected from gossip, judgment, criticism, from spiritual attack and from physical attack. We have a few people here at St. Paul's whose lives are in danger due to an allergy to peanuts and other nuts. To protect them, we ask that you be mindful and not bring ANY baked or bought goods that contain nuts. It will take a bit of getting used to but well worth it in order to keep St. Paul's safe for everyone. Thanks for extending God's kindness in this way!
Planning a meeting or gathering here at the church? A room or area may appear unoccupied, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's available or hasn't been pre-booked. Please be sure to book your request through the church office.
If you wish to borrow any church equipment, you must co-ordinate through the church office.
When having shipments or deliveries sent to the church, remember to let those involved know that the church office hours are:
Tuesday - Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
