"You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, to stay together, both outwardly and inwardly."
Quote from Paul's letter to the Ephesians 4:4
We worship together, we love one another and together join God as He changes this world, one person at a time. We have found God usually starts with us first. It all begins with a change in our hearts. When we surrender our old way of thinking, our old selfish patterns, our old me-first attitudes and put on the heart of Jesus, we are changed.
First of all we are a community. Sort of like an extended family. In our extended family we get close. We will never be close with everyone in our church family, but when we gather on a Sunday for worship, or in our small groups called life groups, it’s a special time. It’s time for togetherness, a time for bonding in a way that is hard to find in this world. We are one family under God, and through Him, we live as his children in whole-hearted, Christian community.
Second, we do life together. Sometimes we eat together, we visit at one another’s homes, but also do projects together. We seek God’s direction in knowing His heart to how to help our troubled world. This can mean helping to alleviated pain and suffering in our own neighbourhoods, or it could mean helping a developing country to improve their social or physical infrastructure. St. Paul’s has a special relationship with a school community in Hainamosa, Dominican Republic where numbers of our congregation have made trips to partner with and support a school there.
In order to live our lives in Jesus, St.Paul's has developed certain values which are the working out of our faith. These values are life-changing.
